WASTEWATER TREATMENT GENERAL NOTES.•

1.
THIS SHEET /S PART OF A CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN COMPRISED OF 2 SHEETS, WITH ACCOMPANYING REPORT
AND SUPPORTING INFORMATION. THE INSTALLER SHALL REVIEW THESE DOCUMENTS AND BECOME FAMILIAR WITH
THEM PRIOR TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS ON -SITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM (OWTS).

THE INSTALLER SHALL BE FAMILIAR WITH GARFIELD COUNTY OWTS REGULATION 43. ALL COMPONENTS OF THE;=,
OWTS SHALL MEET APPLICABLE REGULATIONS

THE INSTALLER SHALL NOTIFY GARFIELD COUNTYS OWTS INSPECTOR AND THE CIVIL ENGINEER AT LEAST THREE
DAYS IN ADVANCE OF COMPLETING THE OWTS INSTALLATION, SO REQUIRED INSTALLATION OBSERVATIONS OF THE
SEPTIC TANK, SOIL TREATMENT AREA, AND RELATED COMPONENTS CAN BE MADE PRIOR TO BACKF/LLING.

INSTALLAT/ON OF THE SEPTIC TANK AND SOIL TREATMENT AREA SHALL BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE AND READY
TO BE BACKFILLED PRIOR TO REQUESTING INDIVIDUAL OR SIMULTANEOUS INSTALLATION OBSERVATIONS FOR THESE
COMPONENTS.
4.
THE OWTS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SGM PLANS, DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS, IN ADDITION TO
MANUFACTURERS' RECOMMENDATIONS SUBSTITUTIONS OF COMPONENTS OR MATERIALS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
WITHOUT THE WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE CIVIL ENGINEER. INSTALLER SHALL PROVIDE CATALOG CUT WHEN
REQUESTING SUBSTITUTIONS.

ALL ELEVATIONS SHALL BE DEVELOPED /N THE FIELD BASED ON TANK INLET AND OUTLET INVERTS INVERT

ELEVATIONS SHALL BE ESTABLISHED FROM THE COVER THICKNESS OVER THE TANK, MINIMUM TO BE 12" AND

INFILTRATORS SHALL BE SET ON LEVEL TRENCH FLOORS THE INSTALLER SHALL FIELD VERIFY GRADES AND
ELEVATIONS PRIOR TO SETTING OWTS FEATURES QUESTIONS SHALL BE DIRECTED TO THE ENGINEER PRIOR To

THE SOIL TREATMENT AREA (STA) SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM COMPACTION. VEHICULAR TRAFFIC SHALL BE KEPT

OFF OF THE STA AND VEHICLES SHALL NOT BE PARKED ON THE STA. DUMP TRUCKS AND HEAVY TIRED VEHICLES
SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE SOIL TREATMENT AREA. ALL SOIL RUTTED OR COMPACTED SHALL BE REMOVED
AND REPLACED WITH SAND,

ALL PVC PIPE CONNECTIONS SHALL BE SOLVENT WELDED, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.

ALL RISERS AND VALVE BOXES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED PER THE QUICK-4 DETAIL ON SHEET C.02.

SEWER PIPE AND EFFLUENT PIPE SHALL BE PROPERLY BEDDED PER THE TRENCH DETAIL PROVIDED ON SHEET
C.02.

REVEGETATION OF ALL AREAS DISTURBED FOR OWTS CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE SEEDED. SEEDING SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER AND CONTRACTOR.

SEPTIC TANK ASSEMBLIES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WATER TIGHT TO ASSURE NO GROUND OR STORM WATER WILL
EFFECT DESIGN VOLUMES OF THE ASSEMBLIES

INSTALLER TO PROVIDE CLEANOUTS PER DETAIL ON SHEET C.02 WITHIN SO' OF THE BUILDING /N ADD/TLON TO
UP -SLOPE OF TWO OR MORE BENDS CLOSER THAN 10' MAXIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN CLEANOUTS TO BE 50.0:

SETBACK LOCATIONS ARE APPROXIMATED AND ADJUSTMENTS TO ACTUAL LOCATIONS MAY BE NECESSARY IN THE
FIELD. IF ADJUSTMENTS ARE MADE THAT REDUCE SETBACK DISTANCES TO AN OWTS FEATURE, THE 007S FEATURE
SHALL BE MOVED AT LEAST EQUAL DISTANCE TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED SETBACK DISTANCE.
