I was out in Canyon Creek performing a final inspection of your new Cleary building last week, because Matt Provost was
out on vacation, and it's taken me a few days to catch up on my office work. But I need to let you know that there are a
couple of outstanding items that must be first addressed before we can issue a final Certificate of Occupancy on this
detached garage.
7. Landing at Man Door - There is not currently an approved landing surface at the exterior of the man door - only
a gravelsurface. You need to provide a36" x 36" minimum concrete slab or concrete paver surface to meet
building code requirements.
2. Electrical lnspection - lnstallation of the overhead door operators constitutes the need for you to provide us
with final inspection from State of Colorado for confirmation of electric permit & required inspections. lt is
clearly noted on approved plans from our office that this building would not have electric service, but your
installation says otherwise. *Note: Temporary electric service via the heavy gauge extension cord leading over to
your existing residence at the time of my inspection is not a substitute for this requirement.
For expediency, I have copied Matt Provost on this email, and please address your follow-up on these (2) outstanding
items to him directly. lt may be acceptable for you to send evidence of your compliance with these requirements via
email (pictures + electronic documents) but l'll let Matt make that call. By the way, I did pull your permit card at time of
my inspection and we have that here in our office files.
