Scott Mechanical Design WrightSoft ManualJ and S reports list a winter design temperature of minus 16 degrees, which agrees with the actualjob site's referenced finished floor elevation at 7,OOg ft and Garfield County's locally adopted Building Resolution. However, the WrightSoft Report sheets further reference this job site location at an erroneous elevation =8,575 ft. Sharing this with Olafjean and Scott Mechanical Design's attention should this require AMENDING for any of your equipment needs. Thank you, I have reached out to Scott's Mechanical design regarding this. However since it meets the design temperature for the area we will proceed with how it's currently designed. 2. Sheet 4.205 and A.207 Electrical notes specify minimum 75%high efficacy lighting. For project planning, Garfield County adopted the 2018 IECC with an effective date of June 30,2023. The 2018 IECC mandates 90% high efficacy lighting. This note has been corrected and clouded on sheet 4.205 and 4.207. 3. Sheet 4.501 General Note specifies following the 2015 PRESCRIPTIVE R-Values. For project planning, Garfield County adopted the 2018 IECC with an effective date of June 30,2023. Please confirm in writing this home has been designed under the 201"8 IECC PRESCRIPTIVE ENERGY COMPLIANCE PATH? And that the project is not contemplating use of UA Alternative PRESCRIPTIVE PATH tables using RESCheck Software, OR, REMRATE SOFTWARE / HERS Rater performance modeling with 'trade offs"? Yes, this project has been designed under the 2018 IECC Prescriptive energy compliance path. A new note has been added to the sheet. 1 4. Sheet A.502 Notes 19 reference details for installation within Climate Zones 6,7 or 8. Please confirm you are going to be following the PRESCRIPTIVE ENERGY compliance path and Garfield County's designated CLIMATE ZONE 58? Yes, this project has been designed for Climate zone 58 under the 2018 IECC Prescriptive energy compliance path. A new note has been added to the sheet. 5. A smaller mechanical closet alcove is depicted accessed off the garage occupancy. Please expound on the type of mechanical equipment and fuel-types proposed for installation in the mechanical room off the garage. This roont will huld tlre Gas tankless hot water heater and the Gas furnace. 6. Will any mechanical heating / cooling equipment be installed in other spaces, such as attic or crawl spaces? lF SO, Specify type of equipment, location. Not inside the home, the AC Condenser will be outside. 7. Please supply air sealing details around openings, pipes, penetrations, joints. (While I see some fairly good details around joints, l'm not finding details around MEP piping and penetrations, please advise if i've missed it on the original plans). I've added some details for penetrations on Sheet 4.601 L ln accordance with the adopted 20L8 IECC, whole-hor¡se ventilation systern will be required. Please specify your chosen type of ventilation (continuous or intermittent, ERV HRV, exhaust only fan system), and location of said system.lntermittent ventilation system: bathrooms, kitchen, crawl space, attic above garage. 9. For project planning, new homes in Garfieid County will now require a BLOWER DOOR TEST. Duct Leakage testing may be required where ducts are installed outside the building thermal {conditioned) envelope. Yes, we will provide a blower door test once the construction of the home is ready.
