On September 27, 2023, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 3602 County
Road 108 near Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation
pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-8164. At the time of our site visit, the owner had installed the
new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new concrete 1,250-gallon two-
compartment septic tank with a pump in the second chamber, the new pump line, and the four
gravelless chamber trenches. The septic tank was installed level with access brought to grade.
The trenches consisted of 10 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench (40 total chambers, 480 ft2
total STA). The distribution laterals ended with a valve accessible from grade to allow flushing of
the laterals. Additionally, inspection ports were present at each end of each trench. We received
an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system was
constructed in compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated October 9,
2023. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County
OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is
required regarding this permit.
