On January 14,2021, we visited the site of the Rose ADU at 831 County Road 237 near:
Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS)
installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6580. At the time of our sÍte visit, the contractor
h-ad instail.ed a 1,O00-gratbn two compartment NORWE$CO po+y septh tank, the ftelv seT¡¡er
line, a distribution box, and three chamber tre+cþes. Thetank, distribution box, and chambers
were installed, level, with access to the tank and distribution box brought to grade. The
contractor had also installed an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the septic tank" The three
chamber trenches consisted of 14 ARC 36 chambers per row, far 42 total chambers and a total
STA of 630 ft2. ln our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield
County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfiold County Ënvironme,ntal
Health is required regarding this permit. Please provide an As-Built drawing of the system, when
available, for our files.

The ref-erenced onsite wastewater treatment system {ûWTS} was inspected February g,7:A21. At
the time cf:inspection, the OWTS leachfield had been inspected by Carfield County and
backfilled prior to calling ÍvVestVfater Engineering for a final OWTS inspection. Prior to
conducting the final inspection, all ssptic components except the Quick4 Plus Standard Infiltrator
trenches had been exposed by the OWTS installer. The onsitemeeting with OIVTS installer
provided insight in pipe length and oonfiguration out of the distribution box to the 3 trenches.
On thebasis of:inspecting exposed t\trTs component. discr¡ssion with OWTS installer, and
engineering sign-off from Carfield County, the OIVTS is deerned to be installed in ccrnfbrmance
with October 2020 engineered design plans- Contact VdestWatçr Engineering for any additional

The refersrced onsite wastewater treatment system {OWTS) was inspected Febmary 9,2Q21. Af
the time of inspection, the OV/TS leachfield had been inspected by Garfield County and
backfilled prior to calling WestWater Engineering for a final OWTS inspection. Prior to

This is to Advise that inspections were made during construction of the above referenced
OWTS and that the system has been constructed essentially in accordance with the
approved Plans and Specifications, except that the Owner decided to move the house
farther to the west making it necessary to locate the tank and absorption bed to the south
as shown.
Measurements from the house to the septic tank and manifold tee, are shown on the
attached "Construction Plan of Record". Additionally. risers on the septic tank and the
south end of the absorption bed further mark their location .

I. INTRODUCTION:
This Report has been prepared at the request of Clayton Homes,
representatíve for the above referenced property. This Report
addresses the design of an On-Site !üastewater Treatment System to
serve a proposed residence. Public setrrer service is not
avai-labl-e.
The procedures used in this report follow the "Garfiel-d County
On-Site lrlastewater Treatment System Regulations" -
II. SOITS AI{D PERCOIJITION TESÍ:
The site is a sloping, high desert areaf wlth ground slopes
generally about 1-lä to the east-south-east. The tract has
recently been cleared of vegetation, which originally conslsted
of salt grass/þrush.
A test hole hras dug in the general area of the proposed OÍf,TS.
The upper !2u of soil- is loamy. clay topsoil" From t2 to 48"
there j-s grey, silty, clay. Below this layer to 702" is a 9rêY,
silty, clay"
Percol-ation rate in the clay layer is 24 minutes per inch and in
the silty clay it is 30 minutes per inch. A Long Term Acceptance
Rate of 0.1 gallons per square feet per day will be used for
design.
Because of the sloping topography (11?) two beds will be used
wi-th 2 rows in each bed. The second bed will be set
approximatel-y 2' lower than the first bed, foLlowing the existing
contour.
The bottom of the absorption bed wil-l be set at 28" below the
existlng grade at the southeast end of each bed.
