RE: Young Residence OWTS Record Affirmation
In October of 2023 SGM was contacted by Scott Young and Miles Rippy for affirmation of
the OWTS installation for the new residence at 0982 CR 245, north of New Castle. The site
had a previous home and some utilities, including record of a previous septic field. In the
spring of 2023 SGM acquired the necessary soil data, with those target test pits indicated,
for both appropriate placement of the new system and in the hope to avoid the previous
system, or whatever may have remained of that system.
The installation was altered, but not significantly, due to the discovery of the old field during
construction. The new layout, while same size and within the test pit “window”, was re-
oriented and shifted for grades to still meet CDPHE regulations on depth of cover and
layout. The size is still as per design. The only other change was an approved Norwesco
(on the approved list) tank was installed instead of the concrete tank, but still of sufficient
size. All required spacing still appears to be meet code. The attached asbuilt shows the
design (grayed out) and the record layout (green).
Please accept this letter as our affirmation of the OWTS installation for the above residence
associated with the record drawings of October 2023.
