Rivas Residence

OWTS Permit #: SEPT‐7759 Revised
November 16, 2023
Emanuel,
On June 19, 2023, we visited the site of the Rivas Residence under construction at 1439 Donegan Road
near Glenwood Springs in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS
Permit # SEPT‐7759 Revised. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new 1,500‐
gallon two‐compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the second chamber of the tank, the new
effluent line, the distribution box, and the STA that consisted of two gravelless chamber beds. The rows
of the chamber beds were installed level. The septic tank and distribution box were also installed level
with access provided at grade. The beds consisted of three rows of 12 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per
row (36 chambers per bed or 72 chambers total, 864 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were
present at each corner of each bed. We received an observation letter dated November 9, 2023 which
included an as‐built drawing of the system from the OWTS designer stating that the system was
“generally installed according to specifications”. In our opinion, this system was installed in general
conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County
Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
Thank you,
