Authorltv. This application for a Building Permit must be signed by the Owoer of the property, described above,
or an authorized agent. lf the signature below ¡s not that of the Owner, a separatÊ letter of authority, signed by
the Owner, must be provided wlth this Applicâtion.
l¡¡al Asse¡s. A Building Permít cannot be issued without proof of legal and adequate access to the property for
purposes of inspections by the Building Division.
Oürqr Pcrmtts. Multiple separate perm¡ts may be required: {1) State Elec'trical Perrnit, (2} County OWTS Permit,
(3) another permit required for use on the property identifìed above, e.g. Stete or County Highway/ Road Access
or a State Wastewater Discharge Permit.
Void Permtt. A Buildlng Permit becomes null and void if the work authorized is not commenced within 180 days
of the date of issuance and if work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after commencement.

I hereby cert¡fy that I have read this Application and that the information contained above is trüe and correct. I
understand that the Building Division accepts the Application, along with the plans and specifications and other data
submitted by me or on my behalf {submittals), based upon my certification as to accuracy. Assuming completeness
of the submittals and approval of this Application, a Building Permit will be issued granting permissíon to me, a5
Owner, to construct the struct$re(s) and facilities detailed on the submlttals reviewed by the Eulldlng Division. ln
consideration of the issuance of the Building Perm¡t, I agree that I and my agents wlll cnmply with provisions of any
federal, state, or local law regulatíng the work and the Garfield County Building Cade, OWTS regulations and
applicable land use regulations {County Regulation(s}}. All County development requiring a permit, except for
residential uses, are subject to Article 7 ol the Länd Use and Development Code. I ackrrowledge that the Euilding
Permit may be suspended or revoked, upon nbtice from the Ccunty, if the locatisn, ct$ttruction or use of the
structure{r} ınd facil¡ty(les}, described above, are not in compliance with County Regulation(s} or any other
applicable law.
I hereby grant permission to the Building Divlsion to enter the property, descrlbed above, to inspecl the work. I
further acknowledge thðt th€ issuance of the Building Permit does not prevent the Bullding Official from: (1) requiring
the correction of errors in the submittals, if any, discovered after issuance; or (2) stopping construction or use of the
structure{s) or faclllty(ies} if such is in violation of County Regulation{s) or any other applicable law. Review of this
Application, including submittals, and inspection3 of the work by the Building Division do not constitute an
âcceptance of responsibility or liability by the County of errors, omissions, or discrepancies. As the Owner, I
acknowledge that responsibility for compllance with fedenl, state and local laws and County Regulations rest with
me and my authorized agents, including without limitation my archltect designer, erì8iîeer and/ or builder.

Depict and show outline the structure's building thermal envelope. Outline should clearly show portions
of the building to be conditioned inside the envelope (and label or otherwise identify any areas remaining
unconditioned outeide this envelope)
Energy Compliance Plan should further include:
Chosen Energy Compliance Patho Prescriotive: Gross Sections of insulated assemblies including the selected material/ R-Value
and U-Values to comply with lRC Table R442.1'2
. U-Factor Alternaliva: Provide a ResCheck Report
e Total U-Factor Altemative: Provide software generated submitlal design reports and inspection

Air sealing details around openings, pipes, penetrations, joints

Manual J Report required for new building structurss and new equipment installations.
STRUCTURAL PIÄNS: Please provide the following information on the structural plans.
. SOILS RFPORT - lf the project is located in a subdivision with a final plat requiring site specific
soits investigation report or if Structural plans make a specific reference to a soils report, then a
copy of the soils report is required to submit a building permit application.
. Design specifications to include roqf and deck snow load, wind and ssismic design and frost
dePth.r Foundation plan showing complete footing and foundation d.þensions.
r Footing and foundation details specitying reinforcement and referenced on plans.
r Framing plans for each floor level and roof. All bsams, columns, joists, rafrers and trusses
specified. Pre-manufactured structures require the engineers stamp, signature and date.
r Framing lconnection details, braced wall lines, shear wall schedule, location and hold downs.
NOTE: lf any required information is missing, delays in issuing the permit are to be expected. lf
determined by the Building Official that additional information is necÆssary to review the application
and/or plans for complianie, the application may be placed on hold until the required information is
provided. Work may not proceed without the issuance of a permit.
The Building Division will collect a Plan Review fee at time of application submittal. The permit fee, as
well as any Road lmpact fees will be collected when the permit is issued.
The permit application must be signed by the owrìer or by person having written authority from the owrìer
to act as their representative.
Building cannot be occupied until a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) is issued. Using the building witho_ut a
CO wilibe considered an illegal occupancy and may be grounds for vacating the premises. (Final/CO
inspection requirements will be aüached to your approved field set of plans.)
