On April 24, 2023, Garfield County Public Health (GCPH) visited the site of the Bianco
Residence under construction at 897 County Road 231 near Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to
observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7993. At the time of the
design engineer’s site visit, the owner had installed the new effluent line, the new distribution
box, and the four gravelless chamber trenches. The owner indicated that a new concrete septic
tank was on order to install at a later date. GCPH was not called to inspect the installation of the
new septic tank. However, the design engineer indicated that they had inspected the installed
tank and that it was installed correctly, but that the effluent filter was yet to be installed. The
trenches consist of 11 ARC36 chambers per trench (44 total chambers, 660 ft2 total STA). We
received an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system
was constructed in compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated
December 14, 2023. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with
Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Please submit a photo to our office of the effluent filter
installed in the outlet tee of the tank when available.
