You, the property owner, installed the system. The property is currently developed with a Cabin (284.2 square feet). A new, 4-bedroom is proposed to the south of the existing road. There are plans to add a toilet and sink to the Cabin. The OWTS design is based on 4-bedrooms. An average daily wastewater flow of 525 GPD was used. The structures will be served potable water from a private well located just west of the Cabin. The well is located greater than 50-feet from the proposed septic tank and greater than 100-feet from the proposed soil treatment area (STA). Only the 4-inch SDR-35 sewer line exiting the Cabin was installed at the time of our inspection. The sewer line has a double-sweep clean out and a minimum 2% grade to the septic tank. When the main house is constructed, a sewer line will be installed. At that time, there must be a clean out a minimum of every 100-feet of sewer line. A wye fitting should tie the Main Residence sewer line into the sewer line from the Cabin prior to entering the septic tank. A minimum Schedule 40 sewer line or conduit must be installed under the driveway. The system installation included a 1500-gallon, two-compartment Norwesco® poly septic tank with an Orenco® Biotube effluent filter on the outlet tee. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. Risers bring the manhole lids to grade for access. Effluent gravity flows to a distribution box, and then to five gravelless chamber trenches. The distribution box was accessible from grade with flow equalizers, or similar product, installed on each outlet pipe in the distribution box to assure equal flow to each trench. Each trench consists of 15 ‘ADS’ ARC 36 chambers for a total of 75 chambers and 1125 square feet of infiltrative area. There was at least 4-feet of undisturbed soil between each trench. Inspection ports were installed at the beginning and end of each trench. Ports may be cut to grade and placed in sprinkler boxes for access. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. CBO Inc. should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent on the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Sincerely, CBO Inc.
