On May 9, 2023, Garfield County Public Health (GCPH) visited the site of the Ruiz Residence
under construction at 1059 County Road 331 near Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe
the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7964. At the time of our site visit, the
owner had installed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, a new two-
compartment, 1,530-gallon poly septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the tank, the
new effluent line, the new distribution box, and the four gravelless chamber trenches. The
trenches consist of 22 Quick4 chambers per trench (88 total chambers, 1,056 ft2 total STA). We
received an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system
was constructed in substantial conformance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer
dated February 13, 2024. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with
Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Public
Health is required related to this permit.
