1863 Lazy K Road
New Castle, CO 81647
OWTS Permit #: SEPT-8263
February 23, 2024
On October 26, 2023, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 1863 Lazy K
Road near New Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant
to OWTS Permit # SEPT-8263. At the time of our site visit, the owner had installed the new
sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the cabin (residence yet to be constructed), the new poly
1,500-gallon two-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the tank, the
new effluent line, the new distribution box, and the five gravelless chamber trenches. The septic
tank was installed level with access brought to grade. The trenches consisted of 15 ARC 36
chambers per trench (75 total chambers, 1,125 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were
present at each end of each trench. We received an as-built drawing of the constructed system
and a letter certifying that the system was constructed in compliance with the permitted design
from the OWTS designer dated February 18, 2024. In our opinion, this system was installed in
general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from
Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
