RE: Detterick Residence OWTS Record Affirmation
In October of 2023 SGM was contacted by RA Nelson Contractors for affirmation of the OWTS
installation for the new residence at 1708 CR 121, east of Glenwood Springs. The site was a new
construction that had began 2-years ago. Some elements of construction altered initial OWTS
layout and design elements that were initially developed in January 2022. Those alterations were
remedied in the fall of 2023, submitted to the County on January 15th, 2024, via email, with
installation completing in February of 2024. Several site visits were conducted during the re-design
including to acquire additional test pit soils for the new location of the STA.
These alterations have been shown and were noted in the permit application in January. This
memo is to provide our affirmation of that installation. The elements are in the correct location or
just with very mild alteration due to construction constraints, but nothing to alter design intent or
function. Valley Precast provided affirmation of the tank/pump system and RAN provided photos of
the squirt test for the STA bed and such documentation is included.
Please accept this letter as our affirmation of the OWTS installation for the above residence
associated with the record drawings of October 2023. The drawing submitted on 1/15 is an
accurate reflection of as built conditions.
