Brent,
Thanks for clarifying, I think l'm following now. I agree with your proposed solution to use a (2)-1 To"xI " LVL beam
above the wall plate (T.O. PLATE= 110') and spanning between Grids E & F (11 ft max span) to carry the chimney wall
above. The new beam should be supported by 2x6 (beam width)stud packs at each end. Take a look at my markups in
the images below and let me know if this matches your intended solution.

Hi Brent,
I just wanted to fottow up after our phone ca[[ from this morning to summarize that conversation for us both to
keep for our records. Ptease feel free to respond with any feedback or anything you woutd tike to add.
You had a question (betow in botd) regarding a beam for the Cerise Ranch project. See my response betow in red.
Gan we reduce the size of the tow beam (roof framing ptan) on Grid G betow theW12x22 at the dining room to
11718" depth? The drawings catl out (3)-1 3/a"x14" LVL. - I initiatty responded by saying that I woutd run some
checks then get back to you. After running the catcutations, I catted right back and approved a (3)-1 3/c"x11 7lB" LVL
beam at that location.
