We looked at the excavation on April 26,2024 to observe the bearing conditions. We understand the addition has been designed to be founded on spread footings bearing on the natural soils and sized for an allowable bearing pressure of 2,000 psf assumed by the structural engineer. At the time of our visit to the site the excavation had been cut in one level to 3 feet below the adjacent ground surface. The soils exposed in the boftom of the excavation consisted of stiff sandy silty clay. Considering the conditions exposed in the excavation and the nature of the proposed construction, spread fo6tings Pl_aced on the undisturbed natural soil designed for an allowable soil bearing pressure of 2,000 psf can be used for support of the proposed addition. I will send the letter once the lab testing is complete. Please let me know if you have any questions. J}t ffimail 1t3 51F24,7:OOAM Thanks, Gmail - Pollard Roberl L.
