Last we spoke I stated that a Colorado Licensed Architect/Design Professional is to stamp the drawings for the submittal, as there is no reference in the adopted building code for Shoot Houses. I have done more research since we spoke last and found a guiding document from the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Health, Safety and Security your Deign Professional can reference for the design. Maybe there's more reference material the architect can access. r Allthe submitted drawings are to be stamped by a Colorado Licensed Design Professional. o Please provide a site plans showing location on the property. r ls a foundation being employed? Gravel footings could be an option, your design professional needs to detail it. o Shoot Houses typically have a catwalk for instructors/supervisor to observe. lf this is planned, please show on the drawings. There are access and guardrail requirements associated with this element. o The application is required to be signed by the owner. Typically, we Bet a statement of authority from the owner to allow someone else to sign the permit. The County is going thru this right now at our own airport, the BOCC Chair has to give authority to the Airport Director or someone to sign permits. . Any additional drawings/details as needed by the Design Professional. The liability of approving un-stamped drawings for this type of structure is a major concern Sincerely, John Plano Garfield County Chief Building Official 108 8th Street, Suite 401" Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (e7o) e4s-1377 (L56Ol 1 1 1" trustock lags to be instatted every 15" atong wa[[ Raitroad ties 7" talt x 9" wide Start trustock botts 12" trom end of raitroad tie 24" long atl thread to be dritted through watl and botted each side, minimum of one al[ thread per 5 raitroad ties in height 3.5" open area between raitroad tie watts to be fitted with granutar material Standard raitroad tie 7" tatt, 9" wide by 8'to 8.5'in tength Raitroad ties to overtap by a minimum of 18" length per stacked layer of watl Watt width wil,t be 1'-9Y2" 3.5" x3.5" treated lumber vertical supports/spacers at maximum of every 48" al atl corners and atl end caps of watls.
