Yes, I can approve a full refund of the down payment for the building permit, as the plan review for the building permit has not started yet. The grading permit fee cannot be refunded. A couple questions. Do you require permit fees paid up front or when the permit is issued also if this was denied do I get that refunded. I have already paid when i submitted so i am just curious about that. I typically do a cursory review of the building permit plans while reviewing for the Grading Permit. I found that the building height exceeds the allowed 25’ for a residential structure, the 40’ allowance is for non-residential structures. The inclusion of a residence in the building requires it to abide by the residential standard. Again, my cursory review is not all inclusive as the building review will be, other items may be found during the building permit review.
