(CTLIT) visited Powers Art Center, located at 13110 State Highway 82, on August 13, 2025. The purpose of our site visit was to observe the footing subgrade soils for the addition planned at the existing storage barn and new pole barn. The structural fill con- sisted of about 3 feet of densely -compacted, on -site, sandy clay soil. Photographs taken at the time of our site visit are attached. CTLIT performed a geotechnical engineering investigation at the site (Project No. GS07023.000-120; report dated August 20, 2025). Our report recommended that the soils be- low the building be subexcavated to a depth of 3 feet below bottom of footing elevation and re- placed as densely -compacted, structural fill. Our representative tested moisture content and density of the structural fill during placement. Our observations and density test results indicate the structural fill was placed in general conformance with the project specifications. Based on our testing, as well as observations during our August 13, 2025 site visit, we judge the structural fill is suitable for support of footings designed for a maximum allowable bearing pressure of 2,000 psf. Powers Art Center) on August 5, 2025 to ob- serve the soils exposed in the foundation excavation for the addition to an existing barn and a new pole barn. Photographs from our site visit are attached. CTL I Thompson, Inc. performed a geotechnical engineering investigation at the site (Project No. GS07023.000-120; report dated August 20, 2025). Our report recommended that the soils below the building be subexcavated to a depth of 3 feet below bottom of footing eleva- tion and replaced as densely -compacted, structural fill. At the time of our site visit, the soils were excavated to a depth of 3 feet below planned bottom of footing elevation. The soils at the bot- tom of the excavation consisted predominantly of sandy clay with scattered gravel. We judge soils in the subexcavated area are suitable for placement of structural fill.
