This letter provides the findings of our study and general classification of the subsoils at the soil treatment area (STA). The services are supplemental to our agreement for professional engineering services to you dated January 19, 2023. The field exploration for the OWTS was conducted on May 14,2025. Two profile pits (Profile Pits 1 and 2) were excavated with an excavator at the approximate locations shown on Figure 1 to evaluate the subsurface conditions at the planned soil treatment area for the OWTS as provided by you. The pits were logged by a representative of Kumar & Associates. Logs of the profile pits are provided below. of Profile Pit 1 of Profile Pit 2 The subsoils encountered, below about 1 foot of organic topsoil, consist of Sandy Loam to the pit depths of 8 feet. Hydrometer and gradation analyses were performed on a disturbed bulk sample of the soils obtained from Profile Pit 2 from 4 to 5 feet depth with the results presented 0-1'TOPSOIL; organic Loam, firm, moist, dark brown 1',-g'SANDY LOAM; gravelly, very stiff, slightly moist, pale red to pale brown , strong blocky stru very calcareous.o Bottom of pit @ 8 feet.o No groundwater or redoximorphic features obserued at time of pit excavation. 0-1'TOPSOIL; organic Loam, firm, moist, dark brown 1'-g'SANDY LOAM; gravelly, very stiff, slightly moist, pale red to pale brown, strong blocky structure, very calcareous. o a a Disturbed bulk sample obtained from 4 to 5 feet. The tested sample classifies as Sandy Loam per the USDA system. No free water nor indications of seasonal high groundwater were observed at the time of the pit excavations. The soils were slightly moist to moist. A design report will be needed for the County permitting and the installation of the OWTS.
