DEFENSIBLE SPACE RECOMMENDATIONS PER COLORADO STATE FOREST SERVICE AND LOCAL FIRE
DISTRICT. PLEASE REFER TO THE GARFIELD COUNry COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WEBSITE FOR
ADDITIONAL I NFORMATION.
6) OPEN HOLE SOILS REPORT tS REOUTRED AT FOOTTNG INSPECTION AND PRIOR TO ANY CONCRETE
POUR. PROVIDE COPY OF GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS REPORT TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR.

7) PRE-ENGTNEERED ROOF TRUSSES. HAVE ENGTNEERING FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR AT TIME OF
FRAME INSPECTION.
8) FLOODPLAIN ELEVATION CERTIFICATE: A FLOODPLAIN ELEVATION CERTIFICATE, SEALED BY
COLORADO PROFESSIONAL LICENSED SURVEYOR, IS REOUIRED PRIOR TO FRAME INSPECTION. THIS
CERTIFICATE SHALL VERIFY THAT FINISH FLOOR ELEVATION IS A MINIMUM OF 12 INCHES ABOVE
FLOODPLAIN ELEVATION.
9) AN ELEVATTON SURVEY, SEALED BY A COLORADO PROFESSIONAL LICENSED SURVEYOR, lS
REOUIRED AT FRAME INSPECTION TO VERIFY THAT AS-BUILT ROOFS COMPLY WITH GARFIELD
COUNTY'S 25-FT BUILDING HEIGHT LIMIT AS DEFINED IN THE LAND USE DEVELOPMENT CODE &
BUILDING HEIGHT GUIDE STAPLED TO ISSUED PLANS.
10) SEPTIC SYSTEM REVIEW / APPROVALS: PRIOR TO BUILDING INSPECTION & CERTIFICATE oF
