Although there are no current pending or preliminary maps for the area, we do have an active Risk MAP study going on in Garfield County. It is currently in Phase 2 Hydraulics. Would you be able to send over a shapefile or KMZ of your project site so we can do a bit more digging on this one? -- Caitlin McDaniel, PE, CFM Floodplain Mapping Program Manager To help protect your privacy, Microsoft Office prevented automatic download of this picture from the Internet. I have attached the property boundary for your reference. Please let me know at your earliest convenience what the floodplain designation is for this area. When looking at the FEMA maps, it appears that this area’s most recent floodplain map was completed in 1986 (0802051705B) [attached] and there are no current pending or preliminary maps for the area. When looking at the statewide hazards, it indicates that the entire state is undergoing floodplain map updates; however, there is no information available at this time in accordance with this area. I wanted to confirm that the project location is outside of the existing floodplain as it is difficult to determine from the 1986 map. I have attached the property boundary for your reference. Please let me know at your earliest convenience what the floodplain designation is for this area. If you are not the correct person for this question, please either forward this message to the proper person or let me know the contact information.
