The system was designed by CBO, Inc. and installed by Timberline Excavation. We received an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system was constructed in compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated August 2, 2025. During our inspections, we observed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new poly 1,500- gallon two-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the second compartment of the tank, the new 500-gallon single-compartment pump chamber with a high-head pump (Orenco PF3005) in the pump chamber, the new pump line, the new automatic distributing valve at the high point of the system, and the Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank, pump chamber, and automatic distributing valve were installed level with access brought to grade. The floats for the pump assembly were set to dose 78-gallons each pump cycle. The control panel for the pump is located within line-of-sight of the pump chamber. The STA consists of a three-feet deep 13 feet wide by 50.5 feet long (656.5 ft2 total STA) unlined sand filter mounded three feet above the identified 100-year floodplain elevation. The unlined sand filter consists of four distribution laterals placed in GeoMat distribution media placed directly on the sand. The distribution laterals consist of 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC, with 5/32-inch orifices facing down, spaced every 3-feet on-center. Each distribution lateral ended in a sweeping 90- degree bend, facing up, fitted with a ball valve to allow flushing of the laterals. Additionally, inspection ports were present at each corner of the bed. As required by Garfield County OWTS Regulation Section 43.4.F.3, based on our final inspection observations, this OWTS was installed according to the permit requirements and regulations.
