Subject: Final Acceptance Letter
1509 County Road 150
Gypsum, CO 81637
OWTS Permit #: SEPT-9138
November 14, 2025
On April 22 and June 10, 2025, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 1509 County
Road 150 near Gypsum in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to
OWTS Permit # SEPT-9138 for two existing residences that total six-bedrooms. The system was
designed by High Country Engineering, Inc. and installed by Highmark Builders, LLC. We received an
as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system was constructed in
compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated November 3, 2025.
During our inspections, we observed the new sewer line and cleanouts adjacent to the two residences, the
new concrete 2,000-gallon two-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the
second compartment of the tank, the new effluent line, the new distribution box, and the Soil Treatment
Area (STA). The septic tank and distribution box were installed level with access brought to grade. The
STA consisted of five gravelless chamber trenches with 14 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench (70
total chambers, 840 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were present at each end of each trench.
As required by Garfield County OWTS Regulation Section 43.4.F.3, based on our final inspection
observations, this OWTS was installed according to the permit requirements and regulations.
Thank you,
