On April 9, 2025, we visited the residence at TBD Rapids View Lane, Parcel Number # 218
104307014 near New Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation
pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-9280 (concurrent with Building Permit BLRE-9079). At the
time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line, the new poly 1,060-gallon
two-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the tank, the new effluent
line, the new distribution box, and the 12 ft by 64 ft gravelless chamber bed. The septic tank and
distribution box were installed level with access brought to grade. The septic tank utilized for this
project is on the accepted septic tank list published by the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment. The bed consisted of four rows of 16 Quick4 chambers (64 total
chambers, 768 ft2 total STA) and appeared to be level. Additionally, inspection ports were
present at the four corners of the bed. At the time of the inspection, the cleanout in the sewer
line was not installed. Garfield County Public Health received photo documentation that the
cleanout had been installed per Garfield County OWTS Regulation 43 on April 22, 2025. We
received an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system
was constructed in compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated June
26, 2025. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County
OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is
required regarding this permit.
