Observation of construction of two (2) On Site Wastewater Systems (OWTS)
Permit Numbers: SEPT-9122 and SEPT-9126
HCE Project No. 2241023.00
High Country Engineering Inc. (HCE) visited the construction site on: 5/12/2025,
5/23/2025, 5/30/2025, 6/3/2025, 6/12/2025, and 7/29/2025, to observe the installation of
two (2) onsite wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) prior to their backElling.
The OWTS permitted under: SEPT-9122 serves the Main Residence. It is sized
for five (5) bedrooms. The septic tank has a capacity of 1,500 gallons.
The OWTS permitted under: SEPT-9126 serves both the Accessory Dwelling Unit
(ADU) and the Barn. It is sized for three (3) bedrooms within the ADU and it is also
sized for bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities within the Barn. The ADU septic
tank has a capacity of 1,000 gallons. The Barn tank also has a capacity of 1,000 gallons.
Elements of the systems that were observed included: installation of an inlet
effluent tees, installation of an outlet effluent filters, influent discharge piping within
open trenches, a distribution boxes, effluent distribution piping in open trenches, soil
treatment area infiltration chambers in trench configurations, and inspection ports.
Enclosed are Appendices A, B & C containing photographs.
The observed OWTS both appeared to be installed in general conformance with the approved
design drawings by aunty Engineering, dated January 27, 2025.
