HomeMy WebLinkAboutShed SpecsMy customer Dustin Hanks requested I send this information to you.
The rafters are 2x8 24" OC. Please refer to this chart that we use to show the snow load of 50
pounds. The actual rafter span is 117' and this chart shows 11'11" which gives you a 50 plus pound
snow load per square foot.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Teresa,
This is what the applicant had the manufacturer send to us for the new storage shed permit. Maybe if we
just include the email with the specs, it will be all right.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Brooke A. Winschell

Loading Condition:
Calculated beam is assumed to be simply supported and subjected to
uniform loading along its length.
Lateral Support
The top of the beam, joist, or rafter is assumed to be supported
throughout its length (through attachment to floor or roof
sheathing) to prevent lateral displacement, and the ends, at points
of bearing, have lateral support to prevent rotation.
