CO 81650 geoquestco@pm.me Geo Quest Project No. 26-141 Date: 5/15/26 RE: On -site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Soil Evaluation Geo Quest was asked to perform a soil evaluation for a new OWTS at the property located northwest of Silt in the Silt Mesa area. The property is formally identified as: e Garfield County Parcel No. 212727200285 e Tract 513 Scutter Ranch Subdivision This letter presents the evaluation details and USDA soil type encountered at the property on May 1 and May 4, 2026. This information may be used in OWTS design. Soil Evaluation A total of two soil profile test pits were excavated on the western half of the parcel, near the proposed soil treatment area. The excavations were completed with a mini excavator to maxi- mum depths of 8.5 feet below ground surface. The approximate locations are shown on the attached Test Pit Location Map. Representative soil samples were collected from the material layers encountered in the test pits. These samples were evaluated and classified using the USDA Soil Texture and Structure methods. The USDA classifications were applied to the guidance document from Colorado De- partment of Public Health & Environment, Regulation No. 43, Table 10-1 as presented below. No limiting layer was encountered within the depths explored.
