This information may be used in OWTS design. Soil Evaluation Three soil profile test pits were excavated near potential OWTS locations and are identified as Test Pit 1 (TP-1), TP-2 and TP-3. Excavations were completed with a Caterpillar excavator to max- imum depths of 9.5 feet below ground surface and approximate locations are shown on the attached map. Representative soil samples were collected from the material layers encountered in the test pits. These samples were evaluated and classified using the USDA Soil Texture and Structure methods. The USDA classifications were applied to the guidance document from Colorado De- partment of Public Health & Environment, Regulation No. 43, Table 10-1 as presented below. A limiting layer was not encountered within the depths explored.
