Box Three Houston, TX 77001 Dear Mr. Freedman: Confirming our telephone conversations and the floor plans we received from you for the .Pre-Assembly Building that will be located at the Exxon Colony project. ` The uses that you indicated would be in the building along with office space would place the whole building in Group B, $ Division 2. Therefore, no fire separation would be required, except for the open storage you indicated would be in the area under the offices. The only thing that we have to watch for is the allowable floor area and height of this group. Sincerely, W.C.Milner Building Official }. WCM:pt :. if Brown t.J oot,Inc. Post Office Box Three, Houston, Texas 77001 aanr • ssr November 20, 1981 " - -- Garfield County Building Department 2014 Blake i Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601 a;. Mr. Milner, i ` Per our conversation this morning, enclosed you will find one copy of the ground, second and third floor plans as well as a rough section for the Pre - Assembly Building Offices located in the Exxon Colony Project. Also enclosed is a copy of the Pre - Assembly Build- ing floor plan. Please note the offices are located between column line A and B. Our interpretation of the uniform building code places the offices under Group B- Division 2 and the Pre - Assembly Building under Group B- Division 4, with this in mind we feel we require a one hour area separation wall along Column lines 1, 17, t A & A3 according to Table 5B. With the Pre - Assembly Building classified as Construction Type II -N, is it necessary to fire -proof all structural elements of the office structure? ° Please review this submission as quickly as your schedule permits and contact me either by mail or by phone at 713 - 676 -3562.
