Watts ,_:,J Code Enforcement GAFtFIELU COUNTY Garfield County Relgulatory Offices and Personnel Thank you for meeting with me on 9 July to try to clear up some problems that were pointed out in your letter of 24 June. Your help is very appreciated. The wood buildings on our property are all under 120 sq. ft. and have been built for storage purposes. There is a mattress in one shed, but we will roll it up and cease using using that shed as a bedroom. We moved a 27' Airstream trailer onto our property in May and started fixing it up to live in while we work on our house. I had not applied for a TMHP because I wanted to get all my systems in place before doing so. We are hauling our water from Eagle and plan to continue to do so as long we are in the trailer. The trailer has a 45 gal. water tank and 10 gal. water heater. Based on my experience so far, we are using approximately 10 gal. of water /day. I consider this to be easily supplied through hauling and to be no inconvenience. Our toilet facilities are a Sunmar NE composting toilet. This helps keep our water hauling needs low. It also means that we generate no blackwater in our wastewater system. Since we are using approximately 10 gal /day of water for cooking and washing, we cannot be generating more than that in wastewater each day. I hope that (and the fact that we are generating no blackwater) can be taken into account when sizing our greywater /wastewater system. I propose a small septic tank made of connecting two 35 gal. pastic barrels. This 70 gal. tank should be ample considering the amount of water we are using. We will have percolation holes dug by Monday, 19 July, and will be ready for perc tests anytime thereafter. Again, I hope that the small amount of water that we are using can be taken into account when sizing the leach field. I hope that this will clear up any problems with our having the trailer on our property, as having it here and living on site will certainly expedite the building of our house. Any help or guidance that you can give me in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, ° j 41 N Bill Hargleroad Box 594 Eagle, Co. 81631
