Box 391 Carbondale CO 81623 Subject: Percolation Test Results, Proposed Residence, Lot 15, Wooden Deer Subdivision, Garfield County, Colorado Job No. 4 156 94 Dear Bill: As requested we performed percolation testing at the subject site on January 6, 1994. We previously performed a subsoil study for foundation design at the site and presented the results in a report dated January 4, 1994, Job No. 4 156 94. At the time of our field work a profile pit had been excavated to a depth of 9 feet in the proposed leach field area. The soils exposed in the profile pit consist of about 1 -foot of topsoil overlying 6 feet of sandy silt and clay containing shale fragments and gypsum crystals. Below the silt and clay soils highly weathered evaporite bedrock of the Eagle Valley Formation was encountered to the full depth of exploration. Groundwater was not encountered in the profile pit. The percolation tests were performed in three pre - soaked hand dug holes in the bottoms of backhoe pits. The profile pit and percolation test locations are shown on Fig. 1. The results of the percolation tests are shown on Table I. The test results indicate the subsoils have a percolation rate in the range of 15 to 20 minutes per inch.
