Mr. Mark von Hagke
625 Walnut Ridge Drive, Suite 101

Subject: Percolation Testing, Proposed Residence, 35 Acre Parcel, County Road 112,
Garfield County, Colorado
Job No. 4 191 94
Dear Mr. von Hagke:
As requested, we have performed percolation testing at the subject site. The work was done in
accordance with our agreement for geotechnical engineering services with you dated February
11, 1994.
Percolation testing was performed at two sites on the subject property at the locations shown on
Fig. 1. One 4 -inch diameter profile boring and 3 or 4 6 -inch diameter percolation test borings
. were drilled at each site. The logs of the borings are shown graphically on Fig. 2. The subsoils
encountered in the profile borings consist of silty clay and sandy clay with varying gravel
content to the full depth of exploration, 10 feet. A large boulder or displaced block of sandstone
was encountered in Boring 5. Groundwater was not encoutnered in the borings at the time of
drilling.
•
The percolation testing was performed in three pre - soaked borings at each site. The results of
the percolation tests are presented on Table I (north site) and Table II (south site). The
percolation rates vary from 7 to 13 minutes per inch at the north site and from 12 to 21 minutes
per inch at the south site. These percolation rates are suitable for a conventional infiltration
septic disposal system.
If you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance, please contact our office.
Sincerely,
op CHEN -NO HERt AS R E G S ti' r

NOTES
1. Exploratory borings were drilled on February 15, 1994 with o 6 —inch
diameter continuous flight power auger.
2. Locations of exploratory borings were measured approximately by pacing
from features shown on the site plan provided.
3. Elevations of exploratory borings were measured by hand level and
refer to the benchmark on Fig. 1
4. The exploratory boring locations and elevations should be considered
accurate only to the degree implied by the method used.
5. The lines between materials shown on the exploratory boring logs represent
the approximate boundaries between material types and the transitions may
be gradual.
6. Ground water was not encountered in the borings at the time of drilling.
