Jack Greathouse 738 Minturn Glenwood springs, Co 81,11 14 _ • ouse, Please refer to your Garfield County Building Permit #5514, dated May 12, 1995, for the construction of a cabin at 05140 West Ninth Street in Glenwood. It looks to me as though all that remains to be done, in order for us to close our files on this permit, is a final inspection on the cabin and on the composting toilet and greywater septic system. A note in our files, dated October 10, 1996, requests that the permit remain open for another year, which was apparently granted. By statute, our permits expire after a period of 180 days during which no progress is made to accomplish the permitted work. Given the location of your cabin, the permit has been unofficially extended for a far greater time than that. Please advise us, preferably by return letter, about the status of the work that was to have been completed and when we can do final inspections on it. Thank you for your cooperation. A final Electrical Inspection from the Colorado State Electrical Inspector; 2. Permanent address assigned by Garfield County Building Department posted where readily visible from access road; 3. A finished roof', a lockable house, complete exterior siding, exterior doors and windows installed, a complete kitchen with cabinets, a sink with hot & cold running water, non - absorbent kitchen floor coverings, counter tops and finished walls, ready for stove and refrigerator, all necessary plumbing; 4. A complete bathroom, with wash bowl, tub or shower, toilet stool, hot and cold running water, non - absorbent floors and walls finished and a privacy door; 5. All steps outside or inside over three (3) steps must have handrails, guard rails on balconies or decks over 30" high constructed to all 1994 UBC requirements; 6. Outside grading done to where water will detour away from the building; 7. Exceptions to the outside steps, decks and grading may be made upon the demonstration of extenuating circumstances, i.e. weather, but a Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued until all the required items are completed and a final inspection made.
