Mr. Bryan Green , June 27, 1995 PO Box 281 Gypsum CO 81637 • RE: Absorption Field, Lot 12, Filing 2, Mineota Estates Dear Bryan: As requested, we have designed an absorption field for your residence at the above location in Mineota Estates. The design was based on a percolation test performed by the Garfield County Building and Sanitation Department. The percolation rate was reported as 103 min /in. The absorption area was calculated based on utilizing a graveless system such as Bio Diffuser® "low profile" units with an allowable absorption area of 25 square foot per unit, placed in a trench (not bed) arrangement. It is critical that the bottom of the trenches be scarified prior to placing the Bio Diffuser® units. This must be done when the clay is dry so that the clay will not smear or form smooth surfaces. Additional requirements are included on the attached drawing. The Engineer can assume no responsibility for the design unless each element of construction is specifically inspected and approved by the Engineer.
