This ISDS was to be built in accordance to our .lanuary 12, 1996 letter to yourself and Mr. Richard Sorenson. In that particular correspondence, In calculating the disposal field requirements for the possible future population of the building being 40 persons per day, a 1500 gallon septic tank was required as well as a 700 squore feet for the absorption arou for the drywall construction requlromont. The construction details for the drywall construction was to bo consistent with the standard details outlined with the etondard drywall design defined in the Garfield County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations. Rased upon the materiels purchased and installed, the affective sidewall absorption area for the drywall Is 948.64 square feet. This is calculated considering the Installation of 12 vertical feet of 48" perforated concrete casing (with an 11 -toot effective vertical sldewail depth) and the provision of 236 cubic yards of 1 Ya screened rock. As was discussed in the January 12, 1996 correspondence to yourself, and as previously discussed In this letter, the requirement of 700 square feet of absorption area is required. Therefore. with this installation, on excess of 248.6 square feet of absorption area hos been provided. In addition, the absorption al ea calculated dons not consider bottom absorption in the 27.45 foot diameter excavation. Riven this consideration alone, 592 square feet aro available for absorption. In addition to the absorption area requirements discussed In our January 12, 1996 letter, it was rioted that a 1500 gallon septic tank would be required for this installation. At that time, it was determined that you In fact had already Installed the 1600 gallon concrete septic tank. Given tho fact that the septic system has adequoto volume and the drywall has excess capacity, this system is adequate for disposing of the proposed effluent from future population of tho building being; 40 persona per day. 12/12 '97 1157 ID: LANIERFAX3800 FAX: PAGE 4 : 0 Decomber 11, 1997 Mr. Mark Could Page 2 I hope this information servos Its intended purpose.
