Dear Ross: j
This letter is to follow u4 on and consolidate our phone conversations and memos regarding the
Individual Sewage Disposal System to be located on Parcel C of the Teller Springs Subdivision.
We have enclosed the several 8 %s" x 11" details which have been transmitted to Kevin Freed
previously. We have enclosed a copy of our letter of August 14, 1996 regarding the TSDS.
As we have discussed, tit, system has been designed for a four bedroom home. Thus, the
average wastewater flow rate would be 600 gallons per day, and the design flow rate would be
900 gallons per day. The gravel base area would be 900 gallons per day divided by 0.95 gallons
per square foot per day, r, a minimum of 950 square feet. The lower fill and the existing ground
are both a granular, pit r n material and should have a loading rate nearly equal to the sand, but
the fill slopes necessary For the construction of the mound will yield a much larger base area than
required by the allowabl -' loading rate. Also, as mentioned previously, the minimum septic tank
size would be 1250 gall ns, and the dosing tank should be a 1000 gallon tank. Both tanks should
be anchored as per the d tails provided.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.

Dear Ross:
This letter is to follow ■ p on our conversation of yesterday regarding the Individual Sewage
Disposal System for th proposed residence to be located on Parcel C of the Teller Springs
Subdivision. As we dis ssed, the absotption area can be located outside of the floodplain so that
a large mound or other III type system can be avoided. However, the septic tank and dosing tank
will need to be located , 'thin the floodplain adjacent to the house. Therefore, additional care
needs to be taken to as4ure water tight connections in these assemblies. In addition, the tanks
should be anchored to nvoid "floating" them during period's of flood or high ground water. We
have enclosed typical d for anchoring the tanks and for a typical dosing tank arrangement.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.
Sincerely,
HIGH COUNTRY ENGINEERING, INC.
