Townsite of Cooperton Garfield County, Colorado Dear Don: On February 4,1997, percolation testing was performed at the above location. Three holes , spaced approximately 20 feet apart and 3 feet deep were observed in the southeast corner of the lot. The holes were dug using a backhoe and test holes were created at the bottom with a shovel. The holes were filled with water within 24 hours prior to the test and were refilled with water again approximately 45 minutes prior to testing. BED SIZING Area = Q / 5 x Sqrt(T) Q = 675 T = 27.7 Area = 712 square feet. 40% Reduction for infiltrator bed = 712 x 0.6 = 427 square feet. Additional area for washer and disposal may be added up to the allowable 525 square feet that the site allows.
