Box 1081 Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81602 Job No. 198 464 Subject: Percolation Testing, Lot 53, Westbank Mesa, Garfield County, Colorado. Dear Mr. Hassel: As requested by you, Hepworth - Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. performed percolation testing at the subject site. The work was done in addition to our agreement for professional services to you, dated July 6, 1998. We previously provided a subsoil study for foundation design at the site in a report dated July 15, 1998 under Job No. 198 464. A profile pit and percolation test pits were excavated on August 26, 1998 at the locations shown on Fig. 1. The soils exposed in the profile pit consisted of about 1' feet of topsoil overlying slightly silty sandy gravel with cobbles to the bottom depth of 8 feet. No free water was observed in the pit and the soils were slightly moist to moist. Percolation test holes (nominal 12 inch diameter by 12 inch deep) were hand dug and soaked with water by Mr. Hassel on August 26, 1998. Percolation testing was performed on August 27, 1998. The test results are presented on Table I. Based on the subsurface conditions encountered and the percolation test results, the tested area should be suitable for a conventional infiltration septic disposal system. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please call our office. Sincerely, HEPWORTH-PAWLAK GEOTECHNICAL, INC. G Louis E Eller r n 0 amok, .
