Garfield County building permit #4534. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Burtard: It has come to my attention that the home located at the above address has not had an inspection within the last 180 days or has not had a final inspection and a Certificate of Occupancy has not been issued by Garfield County. A permit (# 4534) for construction was issued on July 30, 1992. The last inspection requested by the owner or contractor was for framing, rough plumbing and fuel gas piping pressure test inspection. The requested inspections were completed by this department on January 3, 1993. No inspections have been requested by the owner or contractor since that time. The UBC (Uniform Building Code) and other codes adopted by Garfield County require the following: 1. Construction under a permit issued by this department must be commenced within 180 days of the date of issuance in order for the permit to remain valid. 2. Work authorized under the permit cannot be suspended or abandoned once begun, for a period of more than 180 days if the permit is to remain valid. 3. The Uniform Building Code as adopted by Garfield County require the requesting of a final inspection by the owner or contractor and completion of a final inspection by this department prior to the occupancy of the building.
