modification of one of the plans Gary Lester planned to build way back
when. This is based on the "Buttercup" Plan. I am mentioning this
in case t oilans were pre - reviewd by you which might save us both
so Lime.
I anticipate doing caissons on this job on Monday, August 10, and hope
that it will be possible for you to have a permit for me by then.

Dear Paula:
At your request, we have reviewed the foundation design for the
above structure for soil conditions encountered during pier
drilling. The concrete piers were originally designed to support
the concrete grade beams by a combination of end bearing and side
shear.
Based upon recommendations by Chen - Northern, Inc., an alternate
drilled pier size of 24" diameter should be used. Full end bearing
of the piers on the lower silty, gravelly clays should be provided.
The soils engineer of record should be present during pier drilling
to verify that the bearing strata has been reached.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
