Subject: Building permit status at 3704 Peach Valley Road, Silt
Dear Mr. Bennett:
It has come to my attention that the Single Family Dwelling located at the above address has not had an
inspection within the last 180 days or has not had a fmal inspection and a Certificate of Occupancy has not been
issued by Garfield County.
A permit ( #4566) for construction was issued on August 28, 1992. The last inspection requested by the owner
or contractor was for a grout inspection. The requested inspection was completed by this departmnet on July
14 & 16, 1992. No inspections have been requested by the owner or contractor since that time.
The UBC (Uniform Building Code) and other codes adopted by Garfield County require the following:
1. Construction under a permit issued by this department must be commenced within 180 days of the date
of issuance in order for the permit to remain valid.
2. Work authorized under the permit cannot be suspended or abandoned once begun, for a period of more
than 180 days if the permit is to remain valid.
3. The Uniform Building Code as adopted by Garfield County requires the requestsing ofa final inspection
by the owner or contractor and completion of a final inspection by this department prior to the
occupancy of the building.
I am requesting and it is required that you contact this department reagrding the status of this project within
fifteen (15) days of the date of this letter. Thank you for your cooperation and if you have questions, please give
me a call.
