Fruita, CO 81521 Re: Camp Christian Sewage Disposal System Mr. Menge: This is to inform you of my telephone conversation on July 29, 1992, with Mr. Dick Bowman of the Colorado Department of Health., Water Quality Control Division In this conversation Mr. Bowman and I discussed your renovation of a restroom facility with showers at Camp Christian. We understand that the renovation involves a complete reconstruction of the restroom facility. When completed, the number of individual fixtures will not exceed the number of fixtures that are in presently being used in the existing restroom, and will utilize the existing septic system that is currently being used by the restroom. Mr. Bowman stated that as long as you do not increase the number fixtures ( which will increase the amount of effluent to the septic system) or alter the existing septic system, you are not required to apply for a permit from the Colorado Department of Health. Mr Bowman did recommend the use of water saving devices on showers and toilets. If you have any questions, or if I can be of further assistance to you, please give me a call.
