CERTIFICATION OF MINERAL O WN ER RE SEARCH
This form is to b e completed and submitted with any applica tio n for a Lan d Use Ch an ge Pe rmit.
Mineral interests may b e severed from surface right interests i n re a l property. C.R.S. § 24-65.5-101, et seq ,
requires notification to mineral owners when a landowner applies for an application for development from a
local government. A s such, the landowner must research the cu rrent owners of mineral interests for th e
property.
The Garfield Co unty Land Use and Development Code of 2013 ("LUDe") Section 4-101(E)(1)(b)(4) requires
written notice t o o wners of mineral interests in the subject property in accordance with C.R.S. § 24-65.5-101,
et seq, "as such o w ners can be identified through the records in th e office of the Clerk and Recorder or
Ass es so r, or through o ther m ea ns," This form is proof of applicant's compliance with the Colorado Revise d
Statute s an d the LU DC.
The u ndersigned applica nt certifies that mineral owners h ave been researched for t he subject property as
requ ired pursua nt to C.R.S. § 24-65.5-101, et seq, and Sect jon 4-101 (E)(1)(b)(4) of the Garfield County Land
Use and De ve lopment Code, as amended. As a result of that research, the undersigned applicant certifies

This purpose of t his letter is to document the research into m ineral interests for the properties involved
in the proposed amend ment of the plat of the Lorentson Exe mption plat.
I r evie wed the deeds involved and found no mention of min era l ownership.
I re vi ew ed the tiHe insurance policy and found no mineral ownersh ip for this pro pe rty .
I obtaine d a Property Profil e r epo rt from the Assessor's office for the Se ction 32 to wn ship 7 Range 89
se ction and found no mi neral ownership for the parcels.
I reviewe d the M in eral Estate ownership book at the clerk and record ers office and f ound no record of
min e r al ownership for these parcels.
I research ed the Cl erk and recorders computer records for the Parcels and found no min eral own e rship
t hat pe rtain ed to th ese p arc e ls.
