C ERTIFICATION OF MINERAL OWNER RESEARCH
This form is to be completed and submitted with any application for a Land Use Change Perm it.
Mineral interests may be se vered from surface right interests in real property. C R. S. § 24 -6 5.5 -101 , et seq,
requires notification to mi ne r al owners when a landowner applies for an application for de ve lo p ment from a
local government. As such, the landowner must research the current owners of mineral in te rests for the
property.
The Garfield County Land Use and Developm ent Co de of 2013 (((LUDC") Section 4-101(E)(1)(b)(4) requires
written notice to owners of mineral interests in t he subject property in accordance with CR.S. § 24 -6 5.5-10 1,
et seq, ((as such owners can be identifi ed throu gh t he reco rds in the offic e of the Clerk and Recorder o r
Assessor, or through other means." Thi s form is proof of ap plicant's compliance with the Colorado Revised
Statutes and the LUD C
T he undersigned applicant ce rtifies t ha t mineral o wners have been researched for t he subject property as
required pursuant t o C.R.S. § 24-65.5 -1 01, et s eq, and Section 4-101 (E)(1)(b)(4) of th e Garfield Cou nty Land
Us e and Development Co de, as amended. As a resu lt of that researc h, the und ersi gn ed applicant certifies
the following (Please initial on the b la nk lin e next to th e s tatement that a cc urately re/lects the result of
research):
