PC -2015-02 A RESOLUTION CONCERNED WITH THE AMENDMENT OF THE ADOPTED MASTER PLAN FOR GARFIELD COUNTY KNOWN AS THE GARFIELD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2030, AS AMENDED GARFIELD COUNTY FILE NUMBER CCPA-8276 Recitals A. Garfield County is a legal and political subdivision of the State of Colorado for which the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to act. B. Pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County has duly constitut- ed and appointed the Garfield County Planning Commission (the Commission). C. Section 30-28-118, C.R.S., as amended, requires adoption of the master plan by resolution and authorizes the planning commission to amend, extend, or add to any master plan from time to time, also by resolution. D. The Planning Commission has from time to time adopted and amended master plans for Garfield County, the most recent adoption being the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030 as adopted by Resolution 2010-01 on November 10, 2010, as amended by Resolution 2011-04 in Sep- tember, 2011, Resolution 2013-01 on February 13, 2013, and Resolution 2013-06 on October 9, 2013. 1 5 1111 41r1rF:1 I".Figu.l1,r,11111 Reception#: 864117 06/16/2015 03:56:28 PM Jean Rlberico 2 of 5 Rec Fee:$0.00 Doc Fee:0.00 GARFIELD COUNTY CO E. The Garfield County Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 10, 2015, pursuant to public notice, upon the question of whether the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030 should be amended the Future Land Use Map. F. The Commission, on the basis of substantial competent evidence produced at the aforemen- tioned hearing, has made the following determinations of fact: 1. That proper public notice was provided as required for the hearing before the Planning Commission. 2. That the hearing before the Planning Commission was extensive and complete, that all pertinent facts, matters and issues were submitted or could be submitted and that all in- terested parties were heard at that hearing. 3. That for the above stated and other reasons, the amendment to the Comprehensive Plan 2030 and Future Land Use map is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Garfield County. RESOLUTION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of Garfield County, as follows: A. The foregoing Recitals are incorporated by this reference as part of the resolution. B. The Garfield County Planning Commission hereby amends the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030 Future Land Use Map as set forth and attached hereto in Exhibit A — Amendment to the Future Land Use Map. C. Copies of the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030 shall be certified to the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County and to the planning commissions of each mu- nicipality within Garfield County pursuant to the provisions of Section 30-28-109 C.R.S., as amended. The Chairman of the Planning Commission shall be authorized to execute letters of certi- fication. D. The Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030 shall be utilized for all purposes as authorized and required within Section 20-28-101, et seq. C.R.S., as amended. E. The Chairman of the Planning Commission and the Secretary of the Planning Com- mission shall be authorized to execute all documents required to implement this resolution. F.
