Floodplain Analysis Narrative
The Floodplain Analysis, Section 4-203(O) of the Garfield County Land Use and
Development Code is not applicable to the proposed TPR 176-25 UIC Well. The subject
use, small injection well, is not located within a floodplain or adjacent to a floodplain.
The environmental setting for Well Pad 25A is aspen woodland with an understory of
native forbs and grasses with an elevation of is approximately 9,129 feet. No drainages
or water channels flows towards the proposed UIC Well. The Hydrology Map is provided
in the Maps and Plans tab.
The Geologic Hazard Assessment, prepared by a John Withers, P.E. at Geotechnical
Engineering Group, Inc. of Grand Junction, concluded flooding is not a hazard at the
location. The Geologic Hazards Assessment is located in the Impact Analysis tab.
